With more people working from
home and one or more persons needing access to the
internet for school and/or communication with friends
or family, one computer and internet connection doesn't
work very well unless your willing to wait your turn.
HOWEVER...............
By networking your computers
together, you can share your internet connection,
as well as the files and equipment located at each
computer, and as a bonus, if you install the right
network equipment, you will also get a built in firewall
protection for a secure and safe internet experience
not available in a stand alone system without installing
expensive, and usually hard to use software.
With the popularity and growing
availability of Broadband and DSL internet services,
which both provide internet connections 10 to 20 times
the speed of a dial-up connection, and the fact that
your connection is always on, and always connected
to the interenet
the security of a networked system is a crucial component
to your internet experience.
Most Broadband and DSL internet
providers allow you to network your computers and
share the connection with up to 4 computers at no
additional cost on your bill, but do not actually
provide network installation services themselves,
which leaves you attempting to install the necessary
equipment yourself, or hiring it done, and to be honest
today most network equipment (routers) are basically
plug and play, which only leaves the installation
of CAT 5e network cabling.
The Cable Guy can usually install
your network cabling start to finish cheaper than
you can do it yourself if you go out and buy the cables,
the connectors and the outlets at your local Best
Buy or Circuit City.
If you are considering networking
your computers at home or in your businesss, do yourself
a favor, check out the cost of running your own network
cables, and call the other companies that provide
this service, then call THE CABLE GUY, and "get
wired by the best"
